Bad Homburg Summer

A picnic in the park with Irish folk music, a picnic in white with classical music, jazz, rock or pop, comic theater or stage performances for youngsters – the "Bad Homburg Summer" program offers two weeks of great entertainment for young and old. All of it live, open air, and free of charge.

Even the big open air opera does not cost anything – the only free event of its kind in Germany. Further highlights include the big flea market, open-air cinema featuring movie hits, cabaret performances, "Gebabbel auf der Weed" (a program in local dialect), and – the grand finale in front of Kaiser-Wilhelms-Bad – the closing evening concert, which traditionally features lively waltz music by the Johann Strauss Orchestra Wiesbaden conducted by Jochen Siebert, and is rounded off with a magnificent fireworks display. Many of the events – of which there are more than 60 – take place in the Kurpark, but the center of town and the Kleiner Tannenwald also act as venues, as do the suburbs, when the "Bad Homburg Summer" goes on tour.
