FUGATO Organ Festival

FUGATO Organ Festival

Bad Homburg is known as an "organ town" due to the large number of historically valuable instruments in its possession. The town owns a remarkable collection of organs, including the four style organs in Erlöserkirche, St. Marien and Schlosskirche, and the valuable organs in the suburbs of Gonzenheim, Kirdorf, Ober-Eschbach and Ober-Erlenbach.
In order to foster and showcase this cultural capital, the town hosts the international FUGATO organ festival every two years.

World-renowned musicians play pieces from important style eras on authentic instruments and on the town's organs. The Festival program includes choral, instrumental and orchestral concerts, and master classes for young organists, who can also compete for sponsorship awards donated by Rotary Bad Homburg Schloss-Stiftung.
